ET4D took part in the International Restoration Fair in Ferrara, bringing the theme of innovation applied to heritage conservation to the event. The project’s presence was part of a landmark appointment for the sector, held at Ferrara Expo from 12 to 14 May 2026, which brought together institutions, companies, research centers, and professionals around the key topics of restoration, protection, and the enhancement of cultural heritage

As one of Italy’s leading trade fairs dedicated to the field, the event offered the ideal setting to explore the impact of digital technologies on the sector, from digital twins to advanced modelling and tools for heritage monitoring and management. The fair also served as an important meeting point for discussing how research and technological development can support more effective, informed, and sustainable approaches to conservation.

Within this framework, ET4D helped underline how innovation can work alongside traditional restoration expertise, opening up new perspectives for the knowledge, preservation, and valorization of cultural assets. Its participation reflected a broader trend in the sector, where digital solutions are increasingly seen not as an alternative to established practices, but as a powerful complement capable of expanding their reach and impact.
