ET4D Launches with Successful Stakeholder Panel in Athens

Athens played host to the inaugural public ET4D event, the Stakeholder Panel, on April 15, 2025, marking a significant milestone for the project.

The event brought together the ET4D consortium partners, with 25 attendees participating in person, and approximately 30 external stakeholders joining online, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas.

The panel focused on outlining the core objectives of the ET4D project and strategizing the implementation of its findings into impactful policies within the construction sector. Key discussions centered on advancing digitalization and innovation within the industry.

The event featured a series of insightful presentations, adhering to the official agenda:

Project Overview: Gianmarco Fontana (IIPLE, Italy) provided a comprehensive introduction to the ET4D project.

WP2 Results: Bridging the Skills Gap: Massimo Fuccaro (R2M, Italy) presented the findings of Work Package 2, focusing on mapping the skills of trainers and teachers and proposing actionable solutions to address existing gaps, thereby promoting SME digitalization.

Smart Technologies in EU Construction: Mr. Antons Panas (Greece) delivered a presentation on the integration of smart technologies within the European Union's construction sector.

Future Workforce Needs: Mrs. Eirini Palaiologou (Greece) discussed the evolving needs of the construction industry's future workforce.

AI's Impact on the Construction Industry: Mr. Rehan Khan (Germany) concluded with a presentations on the transformative influence of Artificial Intelligence in the construction sector.

The event was a resounding success, facilitating valuable dialogue among stakeholders regarding the project's potential to reshape the European construction landscape. The robust engagement from external participants underscored the project's relevance and importance.

ET4D is poised to advance its objectives over the next 19 months, moving forward with the activities of subsequent Work Packages.
